Activities such as oil and gas drilling tend to disturb radioactive rock and soil deposits, releasing ionizing radiation.

Everyone needs water to survive. But in the United States of America, more than 170 million people are drinking radioactive water, according to a new study by the Environmental Working Group (EWG). The consumption of radioactive elements may increase the risk of cancer, which is why this revelation is so concerning. Fortunately, a new interactive map reveals the locations the radioactive water has been found. This may enable citizens to find an alternate source of aqua until the public health crisis is fixed.
For its investigation, the EWG analyzed nearly 50,000 public water systems in all 50 US states. The group found that the water supply consumed by 170 million Americans contain radioactive elements. In 27 states, water supplies exceeded the EPA’s legal limits. Consumption of radioactive elements is linked with an elevated risk of cancer, as well as harm to fetal growth and brain development.
According to the EWG, the…

Since Washington, DC is lit the fuck up, why aren’t those damn politicians dead? And the entire state of Massachusetts is lit up and the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in TX is as well as Austin, Houston, San Antonio and even Beaumont, TX. Alabama is lit up as is Florida and Kentucky. Even NY, Philadelphia, Wilmington, DE and Atlantic City, NJ are lit up. Denver, CO is as well as Phoenix, AZ and Los Angeles, CA.
The map should be very troubling, but the problem is that so much is in the works that is going to cause us to have a most agonizing death, that this will just be ‘yawned’ at because it is merely ‘business as usual’. Tell me what is NOT killing us.

Good point, Shelby. The biggest problem with radiation is that some radiation-related cancers can take decades to appear. Some finish you off more quickly, though. I think probably the most suffering occurs via chronic debilitating illnesses like rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s Disease and lupes (from both radiation and chemical exposures), which often develop in young adulthood.
