Venezuela’s legitimate government continues to be recognised by a majority of countries internationally, including some prominent US allies such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia which have come out against the attempted coup.

ITALY broke ranks with the EU on Thursday night, declaring that it “does not recognise the self-proclaimed president Juan Guaido” in Venezuela.
The declaration came after the European Parliament voted to recognise Mr Guaido, an MP of the Popular Will party who declared himself president of Venezuela on January 23 despite not having participated in any election.

That doesn’t even make any sense. Anybody could just grab a microphone and ‘declare’ that they are the legitimate president. How about we try that in the U.S. Let me grab a mic and proceed to declare myself as the legitimate president and see what I’d get for my efforts. I’d be consigned to a psych ward so fast, my head would be spinning and the diagnosis? Delusional, among others.
Because Maduro is not letting Washington walk all over top of him, Washington has declared that a usurper is the legitimate president and since most other countries are terrified of the military might of this shithole, they will follow, lock-step with what these assholes decree. The leaders of ALL other countries need to grow a pair!

Shelby, 20 years ago the whole world would have allowed the US to install a puppet dictator in Venezuela without batting an eye. The fact that there are any detractors anywhere suggests there are cracks in US global hegemony. I think the Italian prime minister is absolutely right. With 80% of the Venezuelan population supporting Madura, the country will become totally ungovernable if Guaido prevails. It will turn into Italy.

Look at how fuked-up Europe is Shelby. Millions of yellow vests in the streets, in France. France does not have a legitimate government in place.
Teresa Mays government in. UK is in shambles. UK is in the economic and financial trash bin and the May government could fall at any time.
These are the two major European countries, hat say they recognize the faker.
They do not have legitimate Governments themselves, so who gives a shit.
It seems to me to be a lot of hype and a chest beating contest, at this point. That is because of what is at risk.
The real countries that are financially solvent and have strong interests in Venezuela, are China and Russia..
The frilkin USA is 21 trillion in debt and run by loonies. If they are successful in Venezuela it will probably clinch the fall of the pathetic Murican empire
