Lawyers Petition for 9/11 Grand Jury

Corbett Report Extras – August 31, 2018

Today we’re joined by Mick Harrison (and David Meiswinkle) of the Lawyers’ Committee for 9/11 Inquiry to discuss their recent petition to the U. S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York to convene a special grand jury into the unprosecuted federal crimes relating to the destruction of three World Trade Center Towers on September 11, 2001. We talk about the committee and its formation, the nature and powers of a special grand jury, and what legal options remain for those seeking justice for 9/11.

  1. A few weeks back, after phoning the Thom Hartmann Show on FreeSpeech/DirecTV and getting to “on-hold” status with the topic 9/11, we were surprised (because the topic was 9/11) that he picked up, announced “Jerry, you’re on the air .. You wanted to talk about 9/11?” We noted our sense that it seemed one of two crucial events will be 1st to occur: 1. the truth about 9/11 will explode into humanity’s consciousness, or 2. World War III.

Mr. Hartmann seems a gatekeeper on 9/11, despite years ago interviewing David Ray Griffin, Daniel Sheehan (currently involved with Lawyers Committee for 9/11 Inquiry), and others. Something changed in Thom Hartmann’s public positions on 9/11 from those years past, evidenced by his associating (on-air) my theory or intuition with Alex Jones, essentially diverting immediately to the conspiracy theorist “place”. Don’t bet any money on Mr. Hartmann interviewing these same men – pushed forward by real journalist James Corbett, the men from Lawyers Committee for 9/11 Inquiry – any time soon.

Maybe Hartmann ran out of callers (it was the last 15 minutes of that day’s show), drunk, or … something. 🙂 Disappointing, a sad commentary … and applicable to other “left” gatekeepers like Chomsky, Amy Goodman and Democracy Now, Counterpunch, Naomi Klein, Glenn Greenwald and the Intercept, U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc. If World War III is fortunately avoided, Lawyers Committee for 9/11 Inquiry cannot legally be stopped.

  2. That’s very disappointing to hear about Thom Harman, Jerry, though I admit I’ve never been a big fan. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit to learn that he’s a left gatekeeper. He tends to toe the conventional liberal line too closely for my comfort. A line that comes straight from so-call “left” think tanks that even now are continuously infiltrating the single payer movement.
