According to the The Guardian, Seattle City Council has passed a new tax that will charge large corporations $275 annually per worker to help address the city’s growing homelessness crisis.
About 60% of the tax revenue will go to new housing projects for low and middle-income Seattle residents. The remainder would go to homeless services, including shelter beds, camps and overnight parking.

It looks so awful there in seattle. They just need to put up barracks outside the city by monroe or something as drug treatment, make it legal to open a bunch of single room occupancy boarding houses like in nyc, chicago, houston and sanfrancisco, big flipping shelter in south park that is a shithole anyway, rent control. Get elderly and children off the streets. Seattle is a shitty, bourgeois town with snotty, arrogant idiots running things. Need to change zoning and building regulations. Just stupid

Too true, Cat. I find it mind boggling that multibillion dollar corporations like Amazon and Starbucks could be so callous about the immense suffering their enterprises have brought to Seattle. They claim to be protecting the interests of their shareholders but Amazon doesn’t even pay a dividend. Most of their profit goes to increase Jeff Bezos personal empire and wealth.
