Hundreds of European volunteers join separatists in fighting Kiev troops in Eastern Ukraine. Clear parallels here with the international brigades that poured into Spain during the Spanish civil war. The goal then – as now – was to stop a fascist takeover.
no one in the western media wants to address the issue of what NATO’s real agenda is – to place military hardware right on russia’s doorstep; Ke. didn’t allow Kr. to do it in Cuba in the 60s and Pres. Putin isn’t going to allow the silly arses of the West to do it to him in 2014..or ever..why should he? if you’d been on the streets of Kiev at the end of last year and the beginning of this you might have seen certain ‘foreign’ operatives giving literally fistfuls of money to local thugs to shoot people on both sides, to cause confusion, and chaos..so much for the honourable West.
A divided Europe leads to a weaker Europe economically but more significantly it leads to a Europe vulnerable to terrorism and there are hundreds in other parts of the world who are watching with a certain joy. Here in Asia where i live anyone you talk to is amazed that the Europeans could be so stupid as to heed the American push for another Cold War, the last thing Europe needs.

Funny i was researching Nazi war criminal Mykola Lebed working for CIA Boris Pash when i read his nephew US army veteran named Mark Paslawsky was killed during a battle in Ilovyask, near Donetsk, which is currently held by anti-Kiev rebels. Fighting on the side of pro-government forces

John, I think you nailed it with your analysis. The big difference between now and the Cold War is growing popular dissent, in the US and Europe, to Obama’s agenda. There are many in the intelligence community and Pentagon who strongly disagree with the game plan – the leak of confidential documents revealing government criminality is only going to increase.

Very interesting, Gerald. I strongly suspected there were American mercenaries fighting for Kiev – it’s good to see it confirmed.
